Patrick o’Connor
Pat has a background in the security industry that goes back to 1980 when he joined a regional company as a sale rep in their Cork office. Less than a year later he was promoted to sales manager for Cork, Kerry and Limerick and helped to bring a number of large multi-national projects on board.
He moved to London in 1987 and for 3 years worked for a national security company with 22 branches around the UK. He initially worked in sales but later became marketing manager for the entire London region and helped to develop strategies and projects that allowed the company to grow its business threefold in two years including a new radio technology for Wireless Alarm Systems.
In 1990 he identified a niche in the Irish market for a good Wireless Alarm and established ADA in 1991 having secured sole distribution rights to the whole country for this product.
He also identified the real potential of Digital Video Recording in 1998 when it was just a fledgling concept and ADA became one of the 1st and largest promoters of DVR technology installing hundreds of systems every year.
Around the same time Pat became involved in Sony’s SAIF network and ADA were subsequently the ONLY Sony SAIF approved installer in the whole country.
For the past 20 years Pat has been actively involved in helping ADA grow to be one of the largest and most progressive security companies in the country.
Eugene Browne
Eugene joined the company in 1995 initially as an installation engineer having a background in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering and went on to the position of General Manager a few years later. Eugene has overseen the implementation of systems and standards such as EN50131 and was one of the first companies to register with the Private Security Authority in 2006 these coupled with improved internal systems have allowed the company to grow year on year since joining the company.
Padraig Barrett
Padraig joined the company in 2000 to head up the sales team and bring his vast array of over 25 years of experience in the security industry. He has been involved in installing security in the Financial, Retail & Hospitality industries during this time. He has also been involved in the installation of the government funded Pobal CCTV schemes.
Colm Murphy
Colm joined the company in 2000 initially as an installation engineer and went on to the position of Supervisor. He currently works as sales executive. Colm has worked on many high profile installations, including the design and specification of projects such as the City Centre CCTV systems in the main centers throughout Ireland.
John Deely
John joined the company in 1995 initially as an installation engineer and went on to the position of Technical Support engineer, John is responsible for training the engineers in the field as well as Research and Development in order to provide the most up to date support both to our installation engineers and our customers. Customer care is John’s main priority.
Tom Kennedy
Tom joined the company in 1997 initially as an installation engineer and went on to the position of Technical Support engineer. Tom has over 25 years experience in the electronics industry to component level.
While self employed prior to joining ADA, Tom was one of the pioneers of satellite communications in Ireland. This involved the design and commissioning of a vast array of associated electronic RF and decoder equipment, including dish antennae, for well known international industry names.
Since joining ADA he has been responsible for the design, procurement, test and roll out of major CCTV installations. This includes the nationwide installation of networked digital CCTV recording equipment for An Garda Siochana. Tom is also responsible for training and supporting the engineers in the field as well as Research and Development.
Mark Rowan
Mark joined the company in 2002 initially as an installation engineer and went on to the position of Supervisor and looks after a team of engineers ensuring the highest possible installation standard and customer service.
Michael Connolly
Michael joined the company in 2006 initially as an installation engineer and went on to the position of Supervisor and looks after a team of engineers ensuring the highest possible installation standard and customer service.
